REJOICE AGAIN I SAY REJOICE

HYMN FOR GAUDETE SUNDAY

1.     Rejoice, again I say rejoice,

        O Zion praise the Lord

        Lift up thy voice to Him in praise

        Worthy to be adored.

 

Refrain:

         Rejoice then all ye sons of God

         rejoice in Him always,

          and He shall draw ye close to Him,

          unto the end of days.

 

2.     Rejoice for His day is at hand,

        abandon dread and fear,

        let thy good deeds before men shine,

        for He is very near.

 

3.     In Him is found that blessed peace

        which cometh from above

        for He hath promised light and life,

        the fruits of Godly love.

 

4.     Praise, magnify His Holy name,

        before Him homage pay,

        let him with love thy heart inflame,

        and in thy bosom stay.

 

5.     Rejoice in the blest Trinity,

        in Father, Spirit, Son,

        rejoice too in the coming Christ,

        whose victory is won!
